Our Board Chair, Charles Graybeal, has started a series of letters to help residents learn about why the Conservancy exists, how we operate, how we are governed, how we are funded, etc. The letters will be sent to all residents every few weeks.

Letter #1 – Introduction to the letter series, new direction for the organization, commitment for this budget process to be more transparent

Letter #2 – Overview of our staff, board structure, and update on 501c3 status application

Letter #3 – Review of our governing documents and what it means for the program of work for the organization

Letter #4 – How the Conservancy is funded and what are the opportunities/limitations with each source

Letter #5 – General overview of Conservancy expenditures

If you have feedback on the letters, have suggestions for future letters, or have questions, you can reach out to board@willowsfordconservancy.org

The Conservancy’s 2025-26 Deer Management Program commences in October. Our archery program will run from October 4, 2025 – January 3, 2026 in all four Villages (and no trails need to close). Please review the following documents so you can be aware of trail closures for the four firearms sessions in the Greens, Grant, and portions of the Grove and so you can be familiar with the program. Our volunteer hunters do their best to curb the deer population which in turn makes the understory of our forests healthy, our roads safer, and reduces pests.

New this year, we have maps showing which trail sections are open in The Greens and The Grant during firearms closures so you can still get out into the woods. You also can head over to The Grange to explore a new trail or any trail in The Grove (except Pinewoods Loop).
