We saved up paper towel and toilet paper rolls for a few months and made the cutest paper bird mobiles with an awesome group of kiddos! Sarah did a great job leading the craft and had beautiful photos of birds native to Virginia to inspire the artists.

This is part of our series of programs on days when LCPS is closed. Check out our events page linked in our bio for the upcoming programs on the Oct 30-Nov 5 break (all open to the public). We have native grass seed collecting (great for high schoolers looking for volunteer hours), a pinecone bird feeder craft, and an opp to meet our chickens on the Farm. DM us if you have other ideas for ways to help kids connect to nature and the farm or if you have an edu or crafting background and want to help us design more programs like this.
