On Monday and Tuesday we held our second annual Community Carrot Harvest! 🥕 Together we harvested thousands of pounds of carrots that will last us all winter long. Additionally we found lots of earth worms, a positive sign that our efforts towards improving the soil on the Farm are working! 🪱

It was a magical night at the Willowsford Farm Stand with wine, food, music, community, and giving back. 🐍 Families got up close and personal with Virginia’s snakes at our Let’s Talk Snakes program, led by our friends from K2C Snake Consultants. Kids tried spotting camouflaged copperheads, met Max the black rat snake ambassador, and discovered how snakes grow, hide, and play important roles in our ecosystem. Even a wild green rough snake made a surprise appearance!

A huge thank you to Bill for sharing his expertise and helping kids connect with nature. 🍁

The Harvest Market returns on Saturday, October 25, from 9 AM–1 PM at the Willowsford Farm Stand in The Grange. What began just a few yeas ago with 20 vendors has grown to 40+ local makers, artisans, and small businesses.

Here’s what to expect:

It’s a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch! 🎃 Our friends from Endless Harvest Farm will be opening this U-Pick Pumpkin opportunity this Saturday, September 27th!
