The Conservancy Board invites you to apply for two advisory committees which were approved at the June 10th, 2025 board meeting. Read the Charter which established Advisory Committees here. The formation of these committees were a recommendation that came from the budget process last winter. As we have navigated new leadership and new board members, it has taken us a little while to set these up, but we believe we are setting up two important committees that will help bring a voice to the community.
- The Fundraising Advisory Committee will focus on understanding our funding needs, exploring grant writing, seeking sponsors, and generating new revenue ideas as we pursue 501c3 conversion this year. We are envisioning this committee will be smaller and will consist of members comfortable working independently. Time commitment: a few in-person or virtual meetings per year plus opportunities to join tours organized for Community Advisory Committee with potential for increased participation if special projects are identified. 2-3 hours per month. Read Fundraising Advisory Committee Charter here.
- The Community Advisory Committee will be more general in its focus, with the opportunity to learn about and provide input on land stewardship operations and habitat conservation, farm operations and engagement, marketing/communications, and education/programming. Time commitment: several in-person or virtual meetings per year with prep work, tours and community meetings. 3-6 hours per month. Read Community Advisory Committee Charter here.
We are looking for residents to join us to provide a community perspective and input on these topics. We are looking for a range of skills, perspectives, and Village diversity. The deadline to apply via a short application form is end of day on Wednesday, July 16 (updated). Please reach out to the Conservancy Board at board@willowsfordconservancy.org if you have any questions.
