Our foraged wreath making workshop was the perfect way to kick off the season. Everyone gathered around the tables with bundles of winter greenery, warm drinks in hand, and plenty of creativity. In the end we had a room full of beautiful, personal wreaths. Thank you to everyone who made the night so festive and fun.

Giving Tuesday is here and the winter holidays are just around the corner, a time when there is so much to be thankful for. This year, we’re especially grateful for our growing partnership with the @dullessouthfp and for the incredible community support behind the new Willowsford Farm Produce Fund that we launched just a few months ago. This joint effort strengthens both organizations and provides meaningful, local impact for families in need.

Because of generous supporters like you, since we launched the Produce Fund in early October we have raised more than $10,800 and have already begun delivering produce purchased with your donations. We’re getting close—our goal for 2025 is $15,000. Please help us keep the momentum going this Giving Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday we held our second annual Community Carrot Harvest! 🥕 Together we harvested thousands of pounds of carrots that will last us all winter long. Additionally we found lots of earth worms, a positive sign that our efforts towards improving the soil on the Farm are working! 🪱

It was a magical night at the Willowsford Farm Stand with wine, food, music, community, and giving back. 🐍 Families got up close and personal with Virginia’s snakes at our Let’s Talk Snakes program, led by our friends from K2C Snake Consultants. Kids tried spotting camouflaged copperheads, met Max the black rat snake ambassador, and discovered how snakes grow, hide, and play important roles in our ecosystem. Even a wild green rough snake made a surprise appearance!

A huge thank you to Bill for sharing his expertise and helping kids connect with nature. 🍁

The Harvest Market returns on Saturday, October 25, from 9 AM–1 PM at the Willowsford Farm Stand in The Grange. What began just a few yeas ago with 20 vendors has grown to 40+ local makers, artisans, and small businesses.

It’s a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch! 🎃 Our friends from Endless Harvest Farm will be opening this U-Pick Pumpkin opportunity this Saturday, September 27th! The Patch will be opening Mon/Weds/Fri 4pm-7pm and Sat/Sun 11am-7pm with plenty of parking along the shoulder of Everfield Drive. Look for the Endless Harvest Farm sign!
