Seasons of Change

Greetings from the Farm,We hope you enjoyed the holiday! The Farm team appreciated the respite and time to focus on the changing seasons. We used the time to plan for the 2023 season, seed and weed fall crops, and clear a high tunnel for winter greens production. Another Farm highlight this week is the emergence of our recently planted cover crops. There was some concern they wouldn’t germinate due to lack of rain, but with recent rains we’re happy to report this soil health building planting was a success.

Willowsford Resident CSA Dinner

Chef Emily is joining forces with Willowsford Conservancy to highlight the current seasonal abundance coming from Willowsford Farm and their local partners. Because seasonality varies and is weather dependent the menu will be revealed at the dinner. Chef Gabe will also be on-hand to share Farm happenings and products.

Served family-style, the meal will begin with late Summer produce. As the dishes progress, the seasons will overlap, and finish with a dessert that brings out the flavors of Fall. This four-course dinner will be served family style with house wines. In addition to a full stomach filled with local ingredients participants will take home recipe suggestions.

In addition to the Farm Stand Produce, we will be showcasing products from: Harvest Symphony, Beechwood Orchards, South Mountain Creamery, Rosmann Family Farms, Lyon Bakery, Back Creek Farms, Village Cheeseworks, and many more items from the

Farm Stand Registration is available until Monday, September 12, here.
