This Farm Season is a Whirlwind of Excitement!

Greetings from the Farm Team!

This week marks the first distribution of CSA and the opening of the Farm Stand, woot! In addition to daily farm tasks – egg harvest (we have over 500 ladies on the Farm!), produce harvest, weeding, transplanting future crops, seeding new crops the team has been busy ironing out operational efficiencies to ensure logistics, procurement, and distribution run smoothing so that you, our wonderful Farm-ily, receives your Farm fresh food on-time and in good order.

To top off the excitement – the Farm Stand re-opened last night! It will be open again on Saturday from 9 – 1 PM so stop by and say hello!  Wagon ride Farm tours will also be happening at 10, 11, 12 – capacity is limited for each ride, so get in line early if you’re interested in SEEING where your food comes from!

If you are a Farmer’s Choice shareholder your share will be delivered via the route selected during registration. You can view your upcoming delivery dates and add items to your share for next week by logging into your B2D account. Custom CSA shareholder – remember, you need to login to your existing Barn2Door account (the one you used to purchase the Custom CSA) to create your share. If you need assistance, you can review our FAQ page or reach us at: support@barn2door.com, farm@willowsfordfarm.com.

CSA LOGISTICS BY SHARE TYPE

Farmer’s Choice CSA Shareholders
Your share will be delivered via the route selected upon registration. If you wish to add additional items to your order, please login using the same account you used to purchase your CSA share and make your selections. Priority access to addon items is available Thursday at noon. We encourage you to shop early to ensure the best selection.

Custom CSA Shareholders
Your custom share will only be built by logging into Barn2Door and making your custom selections. To build your share – login using the same account you used to purchase your Custom CSA share and make your selections. Upon checkout you’ll be able to select your delivery / pick up preference. We encourage you to shop early to ensure the best selection.

Egg & Flower CSA Shareholders
Your shares will be delivered / available for pick up as selected when you registered. Priority access to addon items is available Thursday at noon. We encourage you to shop early to ensure the best selection. 

Delivery & Pick Up of Addon Orders
It is important that you select the same delivery / pick up option as your CSA share to ensure your additional products are tied to your CSA. 

Farmer’s Choice CSA Box – Week 2

THE FARMER’S CHOICE CSA BOX THIS CYCLE INCLUDES:

Baby Chard, Bok Choy Bunch, Green Onions, Chives w/ Blossoms, Spinach, and Asparagus or Sweet Potatoes

Note that the share starts lighter in the spring and grows in abundance as the bounty increases. You might notice that we are including Farm partner products – the amount of Willowsford grown produce will increase as the warmer weather comes on; it has been a cool spring.

Anna holding eggs in front of a beautiful stand of cover crop. Anna is a returning seasonal crew member that will be making deliveries, covering the Farm on the weekends (harvesting eggs / watering the greenhouse / assisting with CSA logistics for the upcoming week) – having her in this role is going to boost morale for the full-time crew by reducing their workload on the weekends. With that said, if you see Anna in the neighborhood – give her a shout out of gratitude!  

Farm Happenings

Saturday, May 21 – Farm Stand Open + Wagon Ride Farm Tours 
Not only will you be able to pick up your Farm fresh veggies at the Farm Stand from 9 am – 1 pm, but you’ll also be able to take a tour of the Farm to see where and how your food was raised! Wagon ride Farm tours will be available at 10, 11 and 12. Tours will start near the Farm Stand parking lot.
