2022 Deer Management Program Begins

To help manage the overpopulation of deer, Willowsford Conservancy’s deer management program continues in The Greens, The Grant, The Grange, and The Grove. Following VA state guidelines, archery hunting on Conservancy property is permitted 30 minutes before sunrise until 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to 30 minutes after sunset. All trails will remain open during archery hunting.
Brief periods of firearms hunting will be conducted and trails are closed during these times in the The Grant, The Grove and The Greens, specifically:
Mon – Fri, November 14 – 18;
Wed – Sat, November 30 – December 3;
Mon – Fri, December 12 – 16;
Wed – Sat, January 4 – 7.
Before each firearms hunt, reminders are sent through the Conservancy and HOA weekly e-newsletters. Trail closure signage will alert residents during firearms hunts. Trail users must comply with all trail closure signs.
