Greetings from the Farm Team,

Welcome to week 1 of the 2024 Winter CSA! It’s been a busy couple of weeks at the Farm with several kids activities on LCPS closure days, harvesting, and some maintenance. Our Winter program is on a bi-weekly-ish schedule to give the Farm Team additional time for planning, planting, and preparation! We’ll be putting in the work this winter to keep our equipment, the soil and ourselves in good shape for the 2025 season. Community Carrot Harvest: Our first carrot harvest was a blast! We had such a great time that we’re doing it again, there’s plenty more carrots to come out of the ground and we’d love for you to join us! We’ll have two more days of harvesting on Tuesday, November 12th and  Wednesday, November 13th. Drop in anytime during our two time blocks: 8:30am-12pm or 1pm-3:30pm to help pull and top carrots in the field. This is a great activity for elementary schoolers and older, but all ages are welcome. Be prepared to get dirty with a fun hands-on experience at the Farm! More details on our events page here.
