Greetings from the Farm,

It’s been a nice hiatus, but it’s time to get back to it! CSA pickup and delivery resumes today for Full Season and Every Other Week B group shareholders. If you are a member of the Every other Week A group, your delivery and pickup resumes next week. We’ve got some great stuff on the horizon as we shift into a Fall mood….

This Weeks Cycle: The Online Farm Store is open for business! We are in the home stretch of the Summer CSA which means the ordering cycle is now in effect. Place your order between Thursday September 14th and Sunday August 17th by 12pm for fulfillment on September 21/22/23!

Compost the Most:  The Farm Stand is the new host of Worm Works LLC composting bins! Stop by during Farm Stand Hours, Thursday 4pm-7pm and Saturday 9am-1pm and drop off your compostables!

Fall Feedback : There’s less than two months left for the 2023 Summer CSA program and we want to hear from you! We’ll be distributing an optional survey via email in the next two weeks to our CSA members requesting feedback about this year’s program. We appreciate your support and willingness to share! This survey will be used to improve our future CSA and Farm Stand offerings and collect important data about our member pool. 

Food Truck : The Knockout will be at the Farm Stand from 4pm-7pm serving their amazing Puerto Rican fare. KT Pizza will be joining us at the Boathouse from 4pm-6pm!

Weird Weather : There’s been some interesting weather recently (hello hail??) and that’s had an impact on some of our crops. We intended to include kale in this week’s Farmer’s Choice, but weather damage has caused a shift in plans. Our kale will grow back in good shape, but this is a great opportunity to point out some of the challenges of farming. Our dandelion greens also suffered this past week, those who purchased a la carte will be refunded shortly. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our shareholders!

The Knockout will join us at the Farm Stand today from 4pm-7pm. Try their delicious Puerto Rican cuisine and stop worrying about dinner! KT Pizza loves the Boathouse! They’ll be there from 4pm-6pm!
