| $5.00Join Willowsford Conservancy for an educational program about snakes on this day that LCPS has off of school! Snakes are one the most feared animals on the planet. Unfortunately, due to this fear and the lack of knowledge that humans have about these amazing creatures, thousands are killed each year. This program will be lead by Bill Crisp with K2C Snake Consultants, Inc and there will be snake ambassadors on display so you can get an up-close look at them in a safe and controlled environment.
This program will focus on the following:
- What a snake is and why they are beneficial
- How to accurately identify local snakes and their mimics
- Best practices on how to deter snakes from your property
- BUSTING those crazy snake myths!
- All you need to know about Eastern Copperheads
- And more!
When: Thursday October 2nd from 11AM to 12PM
Where: Cedar Pond Pavilion in The Greens located at 25966 Cullen Run Pl, Aldie, VA 20105
Tickets are $5 each, tickets required for all attending the presentation (including parents) as space is limited.
