Greenhouse Seeding
March 12 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
| FreeAre you interested in learning more about where your food comes from? Join us at the beginning of its journey in the greenhouse with greenhouse lead, Farmer Rachel. She’ll show/talk to you about: how to make flats, the recommended depth of the seed based on variety, germination rates and more. By the end you’ll be a pro!
All ages are welcome to attend, but children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Many seeds are very small, and precision is important, so the hands-on portion may be limited for younger children. We will have larger seeds available and young children can plant a container to take home.
What to Bring/Wear: Older clothes, gardening gloves, boots, water bottle, hat
Date: Tuesday afternoons
Time: 1 – 4 PM. Participants to do not need to stay for the entire duration, feel free to drop in for just an hour or two! Plan to arrive before 3pm as occasionally we finish tasks before 4pm.
Parking: Park at the Farm by driving up the gravel driveway to the left of the Farm Stand
