Fishing for Beginners at Willow Lake

Trout Unlimited’s local chapter joins Willowsford Conservancy to teach the fundamentals of fishing and basic fish ecology at Willow Lake! The class is geared towards beginners but those with intermediate or advanced skills are welcome to join to learn more and ask questions of the club members. All ages welcome. Participants should bring their own gear, and we will have instructors on-site to assist with fishing techniques, bait selection, etc.

Willow Lake is a great fishing spot for beginners with plenty of bluegill and sunfish as well as the occasional bass or catfish! Young anglers who join us for this event are almost sure to catch something. Willowsford is home to many ponds and waterways that are excellent for fishing making it a great new hobby for all who live here!
