Ecosystem Training & Volunteer Work Day

Join us as we work to improve the special ecosystems here at Willowsford! You’ll have the opportunity to learn about some of the land management challenges we face here and get hands on experience in the field helping our Land Stewardship Team. From pulling invasives to maintaining the trails, each month we’ll gather to tackle a project. Meet fellow nature lovers and together we’ll work to improve the land!

On this workday, volunteers will meet at the Willowsford Farm Stand to remove invasive carpetgrass (also known as arthraxon) from the Wet Meadow. All ages are welcome to participate! Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers must complete our volunteer waiver. This workday is happening during our Farm Stand hours, so you can get a tasty treat or cool beverage after your hard work.

Any tools will be provided. Bring work gloves if you have them and wear clothes that are suitable for working outdoors.
