Greetings from the Farm,It’s finally feeling like Fall and the Farm team is back in action for our CSA distribution this week. After catching up on some much needed R&R, harvesting and maintenance, the team is ready to tackle an intense project: Chicken Relocation.

Chicken Sponsored Agriculture : If you’ve had the opportunity to participate in one of our many Farm-focused events like the Farm Tours, Egg Washing or Egg Collection, you’ll know that our ladies are a spoiled bunch. Their hard work produces the delicious eggs for the CSA and Farm Stand, but they also play a key role in one of the Farm’s most important goals. Chickens help replenish the soil with nitrogen, a major element of healthy soil for crop production. Healthy soil leads to healthy produce. The ladies are getting 5-star treatment today as the team moves their enclosure to a new pasture, which provides them with new views and an abundance of weeds to snack on!
 
Crop Loss : Summer Squash has decided that it’s Summer no longer. Unfortunately this means that some of the orders for Summer Squash will be refunded. Refunds will be processed this weekend, and members who are affected will receive an email soon.
