Conservancy Venues for Camping, Cookouts and Family Events
Throughout the community, Willowsford Conservancy offers unique places to enjoy nature up close, to relax, and to rent for events like family picnics, birthday parties and campouts.
With Loudoun County now in phase three of the reopening plan, The Conservancy has opened reservations for Conservancy venues. Things will look somewhat different this year with new guidelines in place. We recommend remaining vigilant in practicing infection control measures that include washing hands frequently, staying home when sick, maintaining six-foot distances when possible and wearing face coverings in public to help keep everyone safe.
Please note, the host of any rental event is responsible for ensuring all attendees or site occupants know and obey regulations. The renter will be responsible for social distancing and sanitizing for their group during their reservation.
With seven large tent pads—each with its own grill, fire pit and picnic table—and ample space for games and activities, this wooded campground is ideal for family camping, and daytime and overnight group events including picnics and birthday parties. The campground is easily accessible from the nearby parking area and is located on the 8-mile Grant Loop hiking trail for nature exploration, walking, trail running and mountain biking.
The rustic, three-season Cedar Pond Pavilion is nestled in a woodland overlooking scenic Cedar Pond, with easy access onto the Bull Run Overlook trail for wildlife watching, hiking and mountain biking. The beautiful structure was handcrafted in Tennessee from old cedar logs and raised here at Willowsford by the craftsmen who built it. Stop by when hiking the trail, which passes by Cedar Pond, and enjoy a picnic on the spacious deck while watching nature. Cedar Pond Pavilion is available to rent for small family or group events.
Surrounded by dense red cedars, this hidden field is an ideal setting for community events, and for large families and other groups to experience camping adventures within the “wilds of Willowsford.”
With a rustic pavilion, group-style fire pits, potable water and electricity, and space to accommodate tents of any size, Hidden Meadow is well-suited for larger group campouts including family gatherings, cookouts, small concerts, boy scouts and similar gatherings. The site features Conservancy programs and events and is available for rent by residents and resident-sponsored groups.
The ancient sport of target archery combines skills of strength, precision and consistency, and builds confidence and focus while enjoying the outdoors. The Conservancy is excited to offer residents of all ages an outdoor archery range to practice this popular sport. The range is the venue for the resident Willowsford Archery Club.
