Despite the fresh heat wave settling in, we’ve heard a lot of winter talk over the last few weeks. You’re already wondering about Winter CSA, which is amazing! We love Winter CSA because it’s a smaller-scale endeavor with limited enrollment, and that means we get to know each member a little better.
While we’re still ironing out the details, you can expect Winter Shares to include:
• Leafy greens such as kale, spinach, and pac choi
• Root vegetables like carrots, beets, and turnips
• Winter squashes
• Onions, sweet potatoes, and other storage staples
• Special offerings of summer harvests that we’ve “put up” in the form of shelf-stable or freezer friendly spreads, sauces, condiments, etc.
We’re working overtime to plan for this upcoming season, including some new options. It means so much to everyone at the farm that you want to stay connected past the end of market days and the traditional CSA season. Thank you for making a place for us in your kitchen! Stay tuned on social media and the “Fresh From the Farm” blog for more specifics and sign-up details this fall.
