Week 7 – 6/30/2014

Wilting cilantro?  Dehydrated kohlrabi?  Rubbery cucumber?  Rubber biscuit?  In this week’s edition, read about storage tips for summer vegetables, with a printable version for your fridge linked in your weekly email.  Also this week, Nathan tells us about the Alliums: onions, garlic, leeks, scallions, chives… This unique family of vegetables ought to be its own category in the CSA box.  Not only are they versatile ingredients in a wide range of dishes but they contain particular compounds that make them good medicine as a regular part of our diet.
