From the Farmer

Week 21 – 10/24/2012
Hello CSA members,

Thank you everyone who came to the Potluck on Sunday afternoon. It was really nice to see you all there – the food was excellent, the weather was great, and the company was better than both. Nick, Jen, Deb, Bonnie and I all had a great time. See pictures below and visit the Willowsford Facebook page!

In Your Share this Week

The last of the onions and peppers, which were smote by last week’s frost. Broccoli and relatives were not and continue to grow happily, and this week you’ll see spinach for the first time. Coming soon: carrots and cabbage.

We are at week 21 and plan to continue to harvest for CSA well into November. If the weather cooperates, we will add a 24th and a 25th week, packing a last, Thanksgiving share on Tuesday, November 20. Details to come. You’ll also have a chance to pre-order pies and breads for the holiday and pick them up when you come for your share on the 20th. Pre-ordering for Thanksgiving baked goods will begin next week. Let us know if there is something in particular you’d like Kate to make and we’ll do our best to have it available.

See you all at the farm stand. Be great,

Mike
