SUMMARY:Community Farm Harvest Session
DESCRIPTION:Join the Farm Team for a a couple days of harvesting! On November 3rd and 4th we’ll focus on harvesting root vegetables like carrots and radishes. Sign up below for our morning or afternoon harvesting sessions. These are a days that LCPS is off school and a great way to get the kids outside and connect with the Farm. All ages are welcome but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \nWhen: Monday November 3rd & Tuesday November 4th \nMorning Session: 9:30AM to 12:00PM \nAfternoon Session: 1:30PM to 3:30PM \nWhat to wear: Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (you will get dirty)\, close-toed shoes\, and long pants. Bring gloves if you have them! \nWhere: Willowsford Farm located at 23595 Founders Drive\, Ashburn\, VA. When you arrive\, drive up the gravel driveway next to the Farm Stand to the Farm and park in front of the packing shed next to the other cars. \nHarvesting is hugely dependent on both weather and soil conditions\, please be sure to register below so we can notify you if our harvesting schedule needs to change!  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Please be aware of temporary trail closures in The Greens and Grant trails and The Grove Pinewoods Loop Trail due to the Willowsford Conservancy Deer Management Program. These closures help ensure the safety of residents while firearms wildlife management activities are underway. Trail users must observe all closure signs. Trails remain open outside of these dates. \nClosure Dates: \n\nMonday – Friday\, November 3–7\, 2025 – Trails reopen Friday afternoon\, November 7\nWednesday – Sunday\, November 12–16\, 2025 – Trails reopen Monday\, November 17\nMonday – Friday\, December 1–5\, 2025 – Trails reopen late Friday afternoon\, December 5\nWednesday – Sunday\, December 17–21\, 2025 – Trails reopen Monday\, December 22\n\nDuring the above trail closure dates\, the following Trail Sections are open in The Greens and The Grant. In The Grove\, all trails except the Pinewoods Loop are open. \nNew this year\, we have maps showing which trail sections are open in The Greens and The Grant during firearms closures so you can still get out into the woods.
