DESCRIPTION:Join Willowsford Conservancy for our popular annual community bonfire and camp-over at the Hidden Meadow Event Field in The Greens. This is a great chance to get outdoors to make new memories alongside your neighbors and the Conservancy staff. In addition to great company\, there will be live music\, a bonfire & food available from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. \n\nRegistration Includes: Barbeque from Willard’s Pit BBQ\, sides\, hot beverages\, and dessert. Anyone camping over will also be treated to coffee/hot chocolate in the morning.\nRegistration Required: Registration is $28/person for participants 5 and older; children 4 and under are free.\nCapacity: Space is limited to 300 registrants.\nDirections: From Grassland Grove Drive\, turn onto Tulip Poplar Place. Then\, turn onto Cameron Walk Place. Turn left on Shasta Daisy Ct. and make an immediate right turn before the first house on the right. Look for signs to the parking area. Parking is limited; please carpool.\nTent Setup: Tents may be set up starting at 2 PM.\nRain Date: Saturday\, September 17.  Residents will be notified on Sept. 7 if the event is moved to the rain date.  Registrations are automatically moved to the rain date\nRefunds: No refunds after Aug. 31.

DESCRIPTION:To help manage the overpopulation of deer\, Willowsford Conservancy’s deer management program continues in The Greens\, The Grant\, The Grange\, and The Grove. Following VA state guidelines\, archery hunting on Conservancy property is permitted 30 minutes before sunrise until 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to 30 minutes after sunset. All trails will remain open during archery hunting. \nBrief periods of firearms hunting will be conducted and trails are closed during these times in the The Grant\, The Grove and The Greens\, specifically: \nMon – Fri\, November 14 – 18;\nWed – Sat\, November 30 – December 3;\nMon – Fri\, December 12 – 16;\nWed – Sat\, January 4 – 7. \nBefore each firearms hunt\, reminders are sent through the Conservancy and HOA weekly e-newsletters. Trail closure signage will alert residents during firearms hunts. Trail users must comply with all trail closure signs. \nPlease see our Events Calendar for the complete Deer Management Program schedule. Program information including safety and hunting guidelines\, schedules\, and maps\, can be found in the Document Center of the Willowsford Conservancy website. We will be planting 300 native trees and shrubs in the Greens to protect the watershed around Bull Run stream. We are asking our community to help us conserve open space by volunteering for the planting.
