Native Plants in the Home Garden – Presented by Virginia Master Naturalists

August 4, 2019 9:00 am

Venue: Sycamore House

Native plants support healthy habitats, provide erosion control and help conserve water while beautifying homes and neighborhoods. Learn how you can incorporate native plants to improve landscapes, in this class led by the Virginia Master Naturalists.

A presentation featuring example landscape plans and plants will be followed by a guided nature walk through Willowsford Conservancy’s native plant demonstration garden. Participants will begin to identify native species, learn the importance of native plants and gain inspiration for their own home oasis.

Class will finish in time to stop by the Willowsford Farm Stand.
